A couple years ago Lou combined a really cute French bulldog, his limited Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu knowledge, and what is most definitely the worst attempt at a “Brazilian” accent imaginable to make “Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for Your Dog.” It’s a Greg and Lou B-side.
(No Frenchies were harmed in the making of this video. Although one Frenchie was really confused throughout it.)
Bas is adamently against fighters using steroids and has on many occasions called the ones that juice “cheaters” and “losers.” Yet he doesn’t seem to view fighters that use painkillers before a fight in the same light, even noting that he’s shot painkillers into his hands and other parts of his body mere minutes before the start of some of his bouts. Isn’t that “cheating,” even kinda?
I’d love to hear what Bas has to say about that. Shit, I’d love to hear what Bas has to say about anything!
I’ve always been a fan of movie universes where the only way to ease your financial woes is to fight other men—preferably in a tournament.
But Warrior seems to be going above and beyond that. Not only is the main character “upside down” on his mortgage, but he’s also a high school physics teacher-cum-fighter. And his brother, a war hero, is a fighter too. And they’re dad? Nick-to-the-motherfucking-Nolte! And they’re all Irish-American! (I’m also a huge fan of rooting for white guys.)

Suggestion for dialogue change:
Instead of the line “Brendan, it’s me: Pop,” I wish he would have said, “Brendan, it’s me: Nick Nolte.”
The piece is about ex-Mighty Morphin’ Power Ranger turned cage fighter Jason David Frank, who, for the past couple of years, has been bringing his Jesus Didn’t Tap clothing line to the Christian Mixed Martial Arts enthusiast.
